A spatial and visual research project rethinking urban representation, moving beyond conventional tourist souvenirs by extracting city imagery into a cohesive system of surface patterns that resonate with both visitors and local communities.

Translating visual culture through Umberto Eco’s semiotic levels of sign translation—congruences, projections, and graphs—the focus was deconstructing the architectural and cultural texture of New York City, transforming structural elements into contemporary patterns across experiential exhibition displays and collectible artifacts.
